We can convert regular 8mm and Super 8mm films (no sound). We have a frame-by-frame system that takes a digital picture of each frame and then blends them together for a smooth film-to-video digital conversion. We can digitize 3’, 5” and 7” reels. You can name or number the reels and you will get the digital files back with the same name or number.
You may have seen the old way of converting homemade film. People would shoot the film onto a screen or paper and simply shoot it with a VHS camera. Most times when using this process the frame rates are off and there is a flicker. Also if they didn't set the camera properly it comes out dark and the frame is crooked or cropped. When converting videotape I see this a lot. When I do I ask if you still have the films and if you want them re-digitized. I know this can be a significant extra expense but the new technologies give you a much better result.
